About me
Who am I?
I’m a wife, mother (and new grandmother), student, professional, and Christian.
I was born in the Philippines in 1973 where I spent the first 17 years of my life. My childhood was humble, and one might say I learned a lot about life and human nature the “hard way.”
When I came to the U.S. at 24, I left my whole family behind. The only support system I had was my husband (our young toddler and newborn could only help so much). I worked part-time and cared for our daughters primarily. Before long, my marriage became “complicated,” then hit an insurmountable wall, and we were divorced.
The following decade or so of my life had many ups and downs – I was happily remarried for a time until that marriage hit another one of those “insurmountable walls,” and I faced my second divorce.
This isn’t to say my life was a sob story – my good memories outweigh the bad. I recently remarried, and this last year gave me my first grandchild, Elena. I only mention the hard times, because these are the times we need help the most. I’ve been “stuck” and hopeless, but with time, experience, and hard-learned coping mechanisms, I’ve built a life I can be proud of and achieved goals I could have never imagined nearly 50 years ago.
I’ve earned a master’s degree in Psychology and a Life Coaching graduate certificate. As a life coach, I channel my life experience and academic knowledge into helping other women who may be going through similar challenges or simply want to grow professionally.
Take the first step towards building the life you envision for yourself and reach out to me today. I sincerely look forward to getting to know you.
